A female speaker and two musicians are spatially separated from each other in the Kunstradio esc medien kunst labor (Bürgergasse 5, 8010 Graz), in keeping with the prevailing Covid-19 period. In this way, Josef Klammer and Seppo Gründler work in isolation on live streams from various ORF radio broadcasts and add their own sound results as live input to their performance. The speaker provides an analogue acoustic image description of the live concert, quasi an audio description as in television films.
The voice of the speaker becomes a solo and accompanying instrument, just as the sounds of the musicians oscillate between the radio room, acoustic objet trouvés and soloistic interludes. All acoustic material is distributed three-dimensionally in the listening room by means of binaural technology. An optimal listening experience for headphones in the literal sense. In this project, a headphone concert, usually Klammer and Gründler develop a sculpture in the performance space, which this time expands into a global radio listening sculpture. The live art radio broadcast will take place as part of the Ö1 focus "Listening". Links: esc medien kunst labor Ö1 Schwerpunkt "Hören" |
