Joe Reinsel
Joe Reinsel's works deal with connection and transedence and these ideas are related through digital media. Reinsel's background in music composition bridges interests in visual and sound and as a result his works range from music composition to video installation and internet net based art. His works have been performed nationally and internationally including MAXIS Festival of Sound and Experimental Music (Sheffield,UK), Roulette(NY), Deep Listening Space(NY), Galapogos Arts Space(NY), Tonic/subtonic( NY) Engine27(NY), Mobius(Boston, MA), Harvestworks Digital Media Center(NY) and the Baltimore Museum of Art(MD). His projects have been supported by New York State Council for the Arts, and the New York Foundation for the Arts. Joe Reinsel presently is lecturing in the Arts Department at University of Maryland, Baltimore County and is Digital Media Specialist at the Johns Hopkins University Digital Media Center.
