Christopher L. Basile, Ph.D is an ethnomusicologist and sound recordist based in Melbourne, Australia. His field research in Eastern Indonesia is focused on Rotinese sasandu and he has produced two CDs of his field recordings. He is currently a Visiting Fellow in Anthropology at the University of Melbourne.
