"18 de Julio" (18th July) is the name of Montevideo's main road. It was once an important shopping street, but due to heavy traffic this aspect has gradually become less interesting. A soundscape of flowing traffic, horns beeping, sounds from the street, police sirens, and - towards the end - the sound of the police brass band in the distance. Recorded in August 2002.
